The Arches Once upon a time in the wild West lived a scalpel throwing renegade woman named Kate Morgan. A superhero of sorts, you will not find her in the history books, because no one knew anything about her. She wandered from dustbowl town to dustbowl town taking on outlaws as well as the law…always laying a kind hand on the dying before she moved on. Favorite track: First Aid Bandaid.

Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) This album immediately won my heart. It's one of the most homogenous works "The Arches" have created so far - a small rock suite, wonderfully arranged, which should be listened to from beginning to end without interruption. Favorite track: Get Your Pretty Guns.

Dust Bowl 01:46

about

Once upon a time in the wild West lived a scalpel throwing renegade woman named Kate Morgan. A superhero of sorts, you will not find her in the history books, because no one knew anything about her. She wandered from dustbowl town to dustbowl town taking on outlaws as well as the law…always laying a kind hand on the dying before she moved on. They say, in 1876, she once thwarted a daytime robbery of the Northfield Bank by Jessie James in Northfield, Minnesota but he slipped away. His gang was not so lucky as she wielded her scalpels with such precision, they didn’t stand a chance. It is also said that she joined Pearl Hart on the first stagecoach robbery in the U.S.A. by a woman.
Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross, was noted as saying that Kate was no outlaw, that she was present at every battle ground during the American Civil War helping the wounded. While many reported seeing her at battle grounds, it was clear that she was in several places at the same time – how could this be? Where was she from? We may never know…but our imaginations can fill in the blanks….Enjoy this latest fantasy from The Arches.
Peace and Love and Scalpels!
